My Nani and Mami were travelling from Guwahati to Silchar tonight. Stones were pelted on their train while crossing Lumding. The window shattered and the pieces of glass were all over the place. A stone missed my Nani's head by an inch. My Mami cut herself while removing the shattered glass pieces.

It's a common occurrence in that route. Rail travel doesn't feel safe anymore. Can't afford flights everytime.

Unfortunately these people will get political support and the govt.won’t have guts to punish them.I hate most of the protests and protestors for same reason.They cause inconvenience to the public,damage public property for which they will never pay and sometimes causes loss of life for which they won’t be held accountable.

I booked tickets for my senior citizen aunts on Dec 9 for travel on Dec 30 via Amazon and when they got UB cancelled the same via Amazon and refund received

However on Dec 30 received sms for that travel and when I logged in to IRCTC app the ticket was still confirmed. So I guess 3 tickets would have been empty on that train which was on WL

Anybody else faced this issue? Is it a normal occurence if so unnecessarily large number of tickets will be going empty daily

1. Tell them to book complaint on 139 / 138 next time while travel, nearby coach RPF will handle the situation immediately.
2. Moreover post this on twitter if photographs have been taken evidencing the act by also tagging rail minister and the concerned railway authorities, zonal authority with your PNR.
3. Book an online complaint on CRIS app of Indian Railways, action will be taken, been there done that.

When would IR /there coach manufacture think for space for larger garbage bin ???? those small garbage bin at end of coach are extremally small to accommodate 72 passengers trash. Also disposal at key major stations

I agree but that doesn't give license to throw garbage on tracks and blame it on public. Literally due to swachh sarvekshan each and every railway station got dedicated large bins, unload in them when stopping. Taking tips, rail fares , where the hek money is draining?!
