I was about to say this little differently.
He surely give a tough competition to mostly Jadeja (being left-armer).

He might be a left-armer but he brings the ball in to the right handed batsmen just like an off-spinner but his googly's are way more tricky. And I don't see India playing with 2 spinners. So tough luck for both Ashwin and Jadeja specially with Kohli who is known to throw in some unexpected suprises every now and then.
