India have announced their squad for the final two Tests of the series against India, with 18-year-old Prithvi Shaw included for the first time

Squad: Virat Kohli (C), Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Prithvi Shaw, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane (vc), Karun Nair, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Rishabh Pant (wk), R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya, Ishant Sharma, Mohd. Shami, Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, Hanuma Vihari

Prithvi Shaw, Hanuma Vihari receive maiden Test call-ups

Prithvi Shaw might replace Rahul but whom to drop for Vihari? Well, he might have to wait.
Both are good selection though.
My playing XI for Southampton test (Considering Ashwin's unavailability):
Shikhar
Prithvi
Pujara
Virat
Rahane
Pant
Pandya
Jadeja
Ishant
Umesh
Bumrah

Also the opening combination which provided 60 runs in both innings should not be broken. But Shastri might be tempted to include Shaw!

Frankly, I don't expect any changes in the playing XI unless Ashwin's injury is a concern.

I'm little concerned over Shami's performance. He bowled well, but only in patches, consistency wasn't there. Not that Umesh is better, but Shami may return with more intent once dropped (though a chance of low-confidence if dropped).
Edit: Happy with Ishant's performance. He has got so many chances, but very rarely proved himself (the sole win in last 2 England tours). Now, it seems he is really enjoying his bowling in favorable conditions.
