India were the last side to defend a sub-300 total against England in England - 294 in Cardiff in Aug 2014.

The India ODI in Cardiff mentioned above was a rain affected game and the last sub-300 total successfully defended against Eng in Eng was SL's 256 in Chester-le-Street in May 2014.
