Disappointed in india's loss.

RE: India tour of Australia 2011

Though india lost but indian bowlers have done really good and have displayed time very good performance specially by fast bowlers. Now first test is gone, its time to start thinking for next one and its all depends on our batsmen, how they approach for next one.

India's chances of winning Australia series over: Gavaskar

MELBOURNE: The ongoing rubber against Australia was seen as India's best chance of winning a series Down Under, but former captain Sunil Gavaskar on Friday said that the visitors should forget about such a possibility after the humiliating loss in the first Test.

India witnessed yet another poor start to an overseas tour after their famed batting line-up flopped to succumb to an embarrassing 122-run loss against Australia in the series opener on Thursday.

Asked whether the defeat has virtually ended India's chances of winning the four-match series, Gavaskar responded in the affirmative.

"Yes, I think so (about India not winning the series). I will be happy to be proven wrong but I don't see that happening," he said.

"In both the innings here we failed to cross the 300-run mark, especially in the second innings here the pitch was good for batting.

"In England we managed to reach 300 only once despite our batsmen having 30,000-40,000 runs behind them. The alarm bells are ringing very loudly," the legendary batsman added.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni might be facing criticism from all quarters for his defensive captaincy off late, but Gavaskar extended some support to the beleaguered India skipper.

"Captains need help because they are under pressure every time. They need help from the vice-captain and I don't think Dhoni is getting that help," Gavaskar said.

I think its totally a biased prediction by gavaskar that india can't win the rubber. He might be having some issues with bcci. How come this a humalating loss. India is playing in australian ground, more ever indian bowler managed to wiped off australian top batsmen with ease. So this pitch was helping bowlers right till the end. Though i like to see more from our batsmen, but in the whole, it was a nice balanced performance by both the team

Well in australian pitches to have to bowl just full length delievery and if you continue this anytime a batsman missjudge he will be gone and this happens in the test match.

In 1882, The 1st TEST of cricket history was organized at Sydney, where India will face OZ's tomorow.... And it'll b the historical 100th test for Sydney....
Its a lucky ground for Sachin & Luxman. Sachin's average is unbelivable in ths ground, 221.33 !!
Luxman played 3 matches & get 3 centuries with the average of 96.20 !!
