Here is why it was down yesterday !!

Yesterday was a big day for Imgur! We broke two records by reaching 100,000+ real time visitors and 100 million page views for the day. It must have been a slow day at work and school for you all, eh? Seeing Imgur grow is really exciting, and we want to thank you all for sharing it with us and making it happen. Thanks! This community is awesome, and we have many more exciting things in store for you. Our master plan is coming along quite nicely. Mwahaha!

there is minus, tinypic, imagesack, imgit, photobucket...
but imgur is above all...love it n will keep using it

i used to be a big fan of tinypic n photobucket, until they started deleting wares related pics. to be honest, i am a guy associated with wares since long, so i have seen many good ones come n go.
i trust imgur coz it seems reliable
will findout about postimage and tell ya

i never ever got a busy server response from imgur.

anyways, i will stop using all those hosts as there is plan of getting a private image host for some of us w* users

image hosts have nothing to do with forums n communities of any kind. anyone can get a hosting account and make an image host which will have no connection to anyone. they allow or disallow certain uploads are essentially to protect themselves.

this would be private, so, image links i would use are safe anywhere

my other images wont show in search engines, coz those would be kind of private, no bot access.

anyways, its still in planning stage and we are thinking about what exactly we need to do to protect users...

everything is in money, and you guys can earn few bulks by opening image hosting site. add a premium account facility and give extra features with own controls and you will get revanue from it.

Not everything is about money. Some things are done coz u can do while others cant...
