The global energy watchdog International Energy Agency (IEA) has called India's electrification of every village the greatest success story of 2018. In its latest report, World Energy Outlook 2018, the IEA has called India a "star performer" in terms of achieving the big milestone of the providing power to each village. "In particular, one of the greatest success stories in access to energy in 2018 was India completing the electrification of all of its villages," said the IEA. It added that countries like Indonesia and Bangladesh have also achieved the commendable electrification rate of 95% (up from 50% in 2000), and 80% (up from 20% in 2000), respectively.

This is called vikas, but some people fail to understand and foriegn agencies have to tell our people whats happening in our nation. For some its all fake as they go by what their agenda and leaders say
 
India's all 597,464 villages electrified. Great news , after 70+ years of independence finally India made it.

OK , now coming to facts.

How many villages were not electrified when Modi assumed power in 2014 , May?

18,452 villages.

So , how many electrified before 2014?

5,79,012

What is the average no of villages electrified per year before 2014?

5,79,012/67 = 8,642 per year.

What is the average no of villages electrified per year after 2014 under Modi?

18,452/4 = 4,613 per year.

Which is effective Govt? Of course the one which couldn't maintain the pervious average.

In other words , Previous Governments completed 97% of electrification.

Modi Govt completed 3% and taking credit for others work.

It is like putting initial for someone's child :)

No one said previous Govts didnt electrify villages, this post speaks about something else.
