OTF Exclusive Idea planning to shutdown 3G services

IDEA is likely to shut down 3G in some areas by this month end.

Idea is sending messages to its users :

"Your existing sim is expiring.As a special case,it is extended to August 5th.Please upgrade your sim.Visit the nearest idea store or retailer."

On enquiring with the retailer,they have said that you will need to upgrade your Idea 3G to 4G by paying Rs 100 because they are planning to stop Idea 3G.

I have already tried to get in touch with Idea to gather more information regarding the same and will have to wait for their reply.

I haven't attached the picture because the information is not sent like message,it is shown on the screen like a notification which we will have to remove by clicking OK.

They shouldn't charge for new SIM, if it is a network mandated upgrade

Translation : Is the data speed low?Upgrade to Idea 4G quickly and get 4 GB 4G data for free.Visit the nearest Idea shop or retailer before August 5th.

NOTE : This is not the one I said in first post but it is a similar one.

Here also you can see that they are telling August 5 as a deadline.

UPDATE : UPGRADE TO IDEA 4G CAN BE DONE FOR FREE,JUST VISIT THE NEAREST IDEA SHOP WITH ID PROOF.

Retailers will ask you Rs 100 for upgrade.
