Idea Cellular launches postpaid plans for Rs 499, Rs 999; offering 7 GB & 12 GB data

Idea Cellular , India’s third largest telco has launched two postpaid plans as part of which it is providing 3GB of 3G/4G data for free in selective postpaid plans of Rs 499 and Rs 999, according to a report by Gadgets 360.

The Rs 999 postpaid plan offers 8GB of data per billing cycle for users with 4G phones whereas those with 3G/2G handsets get 5GB data. Customers upgrading to new 4G handset on the Ultimate 999 plan will be getting 3GB of data free every month until December 31, 2017, making it a total of 12GB.

The Rs 499 plan gives 3GB of data for 4G smartphone users and 1GB data for 3G/2G handset users. Customers upgrading to new 4G handset on the Ultimate 499 plan will be getting 3GB of data free every month until December 31, 2017, making it a total of 7 GB.

With both the plans, the telco is giving customers unlimited local and STD outgoing calls, free incoming calls on roaming, 3000 local and STD SMSs, and free subscription to its movies and music apps. Users opting for Rs 999 plan also get free outgoing calls while roaming.

The telco is also giving customers 1GB of free data as part of its “Acquisition Offer”.
