The International Cricket Council (ICC) is close to taking a decision regarding a bid to include cricket as an Olympic sport, David Richardson, the chief executive of the governing body, indicated on Thursday (March 30).

With a majority of the ICC members in favour of cricket being part of the Games, Richardson said a formal decision to apply might be taken around July, with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) likely to consider the addition of new sports for the 2024 event in September this year.

I think it should be t20, with
u23 and only 4 mature players allowed for full member countries,
and no age restriction for associate nations.

That way it'll be more competitive.
