ICC suspends Sri Lanka Cricket with immediate effect

The International Cricket Council (ICC) Board has suspended Sri Lanka Cricket’s membership of the ICC with immediate effect due to government interference in the administration.

The conditions of the suspension will be decided by the ICC Board in due course.

Just as FIFA had banned AIFF last year, similarly ICC has banned SLC. The only reason behind this is government intervention. Just a few days ago the Sri Lankan Cricket Board was sacked, but court restored it. I think this was the reason behind it.
