We are beaten by conditions more than anything in this game! Batting was tough in the afternoon and it's fairly easy in the evening. Bowlers can't do anything when there's absolutely no support and there are not enough runs on the board. Great toss to win for the Aussies and a great decision to field first! Australia was very clinical in this game, especially in the first innings with their fielding. Cummins had setup fields absolutely brilliantly and bowlers/fielders did their job to the T! We played well till today, but winning final is another story with a lot of other factors.

That tri series Was far better but stopped by ICC and made bi lateral series over saturated.
I dont know whether you saw or not that tri series aus-Ind-Sl in australia at 2002-03. That was more famous than bilateral series this time.

We should have to give credit to Australia . They had won the world cup numerous times( 6 times including current world cup 2023 ) and there was no discussions on pitch was slow , batting first or second , dew factor, playing in different countries with different players in each world cup etc. The conditions will be there and we should have 360 degree players and all eleven players should take the responsibility in playing knock out matches at this level. In the NZ game too India was staring the barrels when the top 2 players were playing and we had made 398 which took us over the line with only Shami playing at the top level. Until you get out of that mentality of conditions and every player playing mentally at the level( After 3 wickets Australia took over the control we are going through the motions which was also seen in NZ match during the start) we should have a mental coach like Paddy Upton like the hockey team to play at the top level specially to help in the knock out matches.

I was 3 years old so don't remember anything. Last tri-series I watched was Nidhash Trophy. It was not that entertaining. Final was great though.
