The police is learnt to have informed HCA that they won’t be able to provide adequate security for the Pakistan game in case the other game (New Zealand vs Netherlands) is played on the scheduled date.

Imo they should switch 1 game between Bangalore and Hyderabad so dates dont change for any other matches and also travel is less

Absolutely stupid schedule 2 matches in Hyderabad on 2 consecutive days Oct 9 and Oct 10 pretty sure lot of tickets are going to be unsold there

I made this point on Aug 9 that they have stupidly scheduled matches on 2 consecutive days.

Its a pity none of the HCA officials read this thread otherwise they would have got to know about it sooner

The Cricket World Cup is the biggest event in Cricket and the fact is BCCI messed it up big time not once but twice with the scheduling.

HCA officials held an extensive conversation with BCCI's acting CEO, Hemang Amin, on Monday over arrangements for the games.

"We comprehend that BCCI's vice-president, Mr Rajeev Shukla, has already issued a statement. We have been informed that making a last-minute alteration is challenging, and we are striving to make arrangements for the orderly execution of the matches. We have conferred with the city's police commissioner, and he has reassured us of full assistance," added the HCA official.
