HTC announces dual-SIM Desire SV in India for Rs 22,590
HTC today unveiled the new dual-SIM HTC Desire SV at an event in Singapore. The highlighted attributes of this new Android smartphone are a dual-core processor, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 4.3-inch screen, and exclusive Beats Audio.
“HTC has always believed in creating smartphones that not only offer the most innovative technologies and design, but also make life a little bit easier,” said Faisal Siddiqui, Country Head, HTC India.

HTC claims that a 1GHz dual-core processor helps in the speed of web browsing, watching videos, running apps, and downloading attachments. This smartphone comes with 768MB of RAM. The handset comes equipped with a 4.3-inch super LCD 2 screen that HTC claims will make images, videos, emails, and presentations look a lot more vivid. This dual-SIM smartphone comes loaded with productivity tools such as Office Suite, Microsoft Exchange push mail, and calendar support.
As far as software goes, the HTC Desire SV comes with loaded with Android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with the HTC Sense UI. This handset can be upgraded to Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean) once HTC releases it for the handset.
HTC states that the dual-SIM design can strike a balance by keeping a user’s business world and personal world separate from each other. The brand claims that frequent travellers will benefit from using the HTC Desire SV, since having both a local and an international roaming SIM cards in a single phone means it’s easy to keep in touch with colleagues, friends and family without incurring significant roaming charges.
The HTC Desire SV features an 8 megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 autofocus lens with LED flash that provides detail and accuracy. The Back Illuminated Sensor (BSI) sensor enhances in low light conditions. Uploading and sharing images is easy due to the two years of 25GB of Dropbox storage that comes with this device.
With exclusive Beats Audio, HTC Desire and the smartphone manufacturer claims that one can get good sound with powerful bass, more dynamics and improved clarity. HTC states that by pairing the phone with any Beats by Dr Dre headset, and accessing a customised sound profile a user can achieve better studio quality sound. HTC Sync Manager automatically syncs and manages the entire music collection
