At least one thing everybody will see for the first time lol

All of the them are praising the show. And it’s already overtaking LOTR: The Rings of Power in most anticipating show of the year! It’s gonna be madness when it releases🔥

House of the Dragon is a very good stepping point for the revitalization of Game of Thrones fandom after the disastrous season 8 we have to endure.

House of the Dragon Review: The noble prequel series packs the granularity of the Game of Thrones

This review is after watching six-episodes of the series.. Certainly they aren't all finished yet.. So, my judgment is based out entirely on Writing and Character development Only..

Hopefully, I have kept it short and spoiler-free for everyone...

Really excited for it.

I actually enjoyed Season 8 of GOT. At that time I wasn't much into Twitter or forums. So my impressions were purely based on my experience of the show. Later when my friends told me, I looked at Twitter, YouTube reviews, reddit threads, etc and found out that everyone actually hated it. Then I thought maybe it wasn't that good after all. This proves how much social media affects our thinking, likes and dislikes.

It was done with haste and no involvement of GRRM meant it went from good S7 to worst S8 for me.. That after documentary had shown how much they wanted to be done with the show...

Also, the creators earned a massive contract with Netflix and Disney's Lucusfilm back then and were in pressure from 3 different companies.. All that converged into that disastrous season.

People do have valid opinions on Social Media... Diehard Star Wars fans knows better about this than anyone.... It's the most divided fan base ever... No one will agree on anything there.. Especially, the Disney era. I certainly don't bother to check...

I agree with 90% of the things people had to say about it. Most of them were valid criticisms. That's what made me realize all the flaws with the season.

But in this process I came to the conclusion that I am very simple minded. Either I enjoy something, or I don't. If I enjoyed it, it is a good show/movie (for me). That what matters at the end of the day.

I sometimes check the ratings/reviews of the movies I loved as a kid/teen, and am often surprised by how bad the ratings and reviews are.

Done watching the first episode and Milly's (Rhaenyra) performance was just amazing. I saw reviews praising Milly and after seeing her I instantly became a fan of her. It will be tough to move onto Emma (older Rhaenyra) after Milly. Plus the production design is just fabulous to say the least. Daemon's armor during the tourney was really striking. Plot wise it sets up the foundation but it never really raises the stakes much. Overall the episode was good but not certainly the best it could have been. But the rest is yet to come so hopefully they all will be really great.
