You need VPN to update the app. Some app that restricted to some countries will show this error except they using VPN to bypass it.

Looks like Hotstar can't block screenshot from Widevine L3 devices.

Some episodes also not playable. Only outside India.

Simply, Join Beta Testing group for Hotstar. They have rolled out the Hotstar X for almost all Beta testers... I just joined and recieved the update on play store...

Just tried it but there's no update. Seems like hotstar make Indian user only can use hotstar app only because current india app version is higher than MENA version.

For me it's 1080 p...

Tried same content. Got only 720p. Old app can stream 1080p
