Today i got a call from BSNL Exchange that, FTTH has rolled out in my area, and if i need i can upgrade.
Currently am on BB 675 plan which offers 10Mbps, and FTTH 777 plan offers 50Mbps..

What are the Installation charges, ONT and modem charges..?
Should we buy our own ONT and modem or will BSNL will give it..?

Afterall how is BSNL FTTH.?
or
should i wait for Jio FTTH.?

Anybody on bsnl ftth pls help

First thing it's not from bsnl you get bills from bsnl services from third party( depends on area).
For ONT you have to pay one time settlement or rental on bill.
And they force you for 6months pack or yearly pack they are not interested in monthly subscriptions.
Ovrelall it's endup around 6-7k for a fresh installation with 6 months pack.

The last mile connectivity is provided by their appointed franchise. All backend config & bandwidth is controlled by BSNL. They work on a revenue share model.

The installation folks don't force you anything - no need to opt for long duration packages. Only thing is you need to buy your own ONT apart from the 1 month rental deposit.

An ONT with wifi costs ~₹2500. A cheaper ones without WiFi cost around ~₹1000. This is your upfront cost.

The service is good here in BLR. I would expect the same elsewhere too.
