but still Sony supply HDMI 1.4 for their 4K

Panasonic leaks 65-inch 4K LCD, HDMI 2.0 prior to IFA announcement
Panasonic is one of the few electronics companies that's not pushing a 4K TV right now, but that is apparently about to change. An AV Forums reader spotted a few webpages cached prior to the company's launch event that show off not only its upcoming 4K res WT600 television, but also details of the HDMI 2.0 spec. The current HDMI 1.4 connectors can only handle 4K content at 30fps, and the page mentions HDMI 2.0 will support at least 60fps, but any further capabilities are unknown. The Panasonic WT600 details shown include that it will support DisplayPort 1.2 as well as 4K specific features like a web browser, media player, rendering engine and THX certification. The only disappointing part, as the post points out, is that there's no sign yet of Panasonic's sweet 4K OLED prototype which combines both of this year's high-priced HDTV buzzwords in one lovely display. The HDMI licensing group has a press conference scheduled for IFA on Friday while Panasonic's is Wednesday, so it shouldn't be long before we hear more about both pieces of this puzzle, and how other manufacturers plan to react.

May be Sony using 1.4 ver. But it doesn't mean that 4K Resolution don't work with this 1.4 HDMI ,Because every Technology is backward Compatible as we use USB-2 Devices in USB-3.So Just a little bit change which can't be seen or judge by naked eye's thanks ;)

Simultaneous delivery of multi-stream audio to multiple users (Up to 4)
Support for the wide angle theatrical 21:9 video aspect ratio
Dynamic synchronization of video and audio streams
CEC extensions provide more expanded command and control of consumer electronics devices through a single control point
Does HDMI 2.0 replace HDMI 1.x?
No, HDMI 2.0 is built on top of HDMI 1.x and any device that wants to implement HDMI 2.0 must first implement HDMI 1.x as a baseline requirement.

Is HDMI 2.0 backwards compatible with HDMI 1.x?
Yes, all HDMI versions are fully backward compatible with all previous versions.
Does HDMI 2.0 require new connectors?
No, HDMI 2.0 uses the existing connectors.
Does HDMI 2.0 require new cables?

Can my existing HDMI 1.x devices be upgraded with HDMI 2.0 features?
Currently, there are no provisions for doing such an upgrade. Because of the new enhanced feature set, any such conversion would require hardware and/or firmware upgrades. If there are such conversions, it would come from the manufacturer. Please check with them directly.
Are there any new testing policies specific to HDMI 2.0?

When will ATCs start to provide 2.0 testing services?
Each individual ATC will decide on when to offer HDMI 2.0 testing services. Please contact your local ATC for more information.

When will the HDMI 2.0 Compliance Test Specification be available?
The HDMI 2.0 Compliance Test Specification (CTS) is expected to be released before the end of 2013.

we want to spend more money for data usage,4ksucks more data, that is the way no broadcaster ready to pay more for bandwidth.

it will be only used for making own video and play it by players or supporting devices.but future after 5 to 10 years they will find the solution for improve the 4K usage.
