After Maharashtra and Bihar, Rajasthan government became third to announce ban on paan masala containing magnesium carbonate, nicotine, tobacco, mineral oil and flavoured ‘supari’.

Good step but implementation is the real problem. On ground things continue bcoz of corruption and neither it yields desired results nor it leads to habitual people getting off this product. Also there is much risk of black marketing of such things thus causing revenue loss and counterfeit stuff r also sold in disguise.

In India we first need strong training, tools and effective checking mechanism before bringing laws which alone do not help
