The Indian government is set to increase its stake in Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) to approximately 48.99% following the conversion of outstanding spectrum auction dues into equity shares, the company disclosed today, March 30. This move aligns with the telecom sector relief package announced in September 2021.

Possible solutions and why it cannot be implemented (In my opinion)
1. Govt of India somehow becomes the biggest shareholder at 49% but then Govt doesn't want to handle Vi since they already are barely managing BSNL and MTNL

so what i said last week is coming true Govt is the biggest shareholder in VI, but it would let Vi operate independently

So, they are giving away 26.39% Stake for the upcoming smallest of the tiniest problem? After this, the promoters will have just 10.93% stake of (current) value around just Rs5314 Crores. How will they service the balance >> Rs1.5 Trillion (more than One and a half Lakhs of Crore Rupees) debt in future?

Annual Revenue is around Rs42,000 crore and Loss is around Rs30,000 Crores. Debt (after Govt taking equity) will be around Rs1,50,000 crores. Promoters selling stake (even to Govt) is a red flag. But no worries, there will be enough id*ots in the share market, who will go gaga after Govt buying the stake.

For 1 year (max 2 years), there may be no issues for VoId. But is that enough time to make a turn-around? Not likely, after seeing the confidence (or lack of it) of promoters, imho.

This equity conversion is for spectrum payments of year 2025-26. The amounts will only increase further in the coming years.
VI users try to avoid VI as your primary network. Keep as secondary if you feel like using their services.
me and @TheAndroidFreak have decided to port from Vi to Airtel
Vi as primary is a lot of annoyance now

also does anyone know how to port Vi ESIM to Airtel ESIM

OMG, The TOP TWO die hard VoId fans are leaving the network. Then what will happen to Void?

Nothing special. Just port from VoId eSIM to physical sim of Airtel. Then convert to eSIM (same as in case of VoId). First update e-mail address, then same steps like getting QR code in e-mail, as in VoId.
