Following the Supreme Court's ruling to ban the sale of BS-III compliant vehicles in the country, the Government of India has now launched BS-IV grade fuel across the nation. Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of State (I/C) for Petroleum and Natural Gas, formally launched BS-IV grade transportation fuels from Bhubaneswar, Odisha on 1st of April 2017. While fuel pumps in most of the Indian cities and all metros already offer BS-IV grade now the ministry has made it available in smaller towns and cities as well like - Varanasi, Durgapur, Gorakhpur, Imphal, Ranchi, Madurai, Nagpur, Guwahati and Shillong among others.

Anyone here who bought BS IV Vehicle.

Our 2009 i10 1.2l kappa is Euro V compliant. So, it is already better than BS IV. (BS IV ~ Euro IV).

Yes it is based on Euro IV norm. Currently there are lots of showrooms misleading people about it. Saying, we will add auto headlamp and remove the switch to make your bike BS IV. BS IV is nothing but just small change.

They themselves don't properly understand what it is. Want to clear their stocks, since once company sold to them, they can't return. Now since all those vehicles are banned they can do nothing than giving in discount along with misleading infos and make people scrapgoat.

Actually, people were happy to buy at a steep discount of 15-25%. But they (BS 3 Vehicles) could be sold only till 31st March. If anyone is buying now, they are being thugged.
