Google has started rolling out a new feature in India that lets users switch between English and Hindi when searching for something in English. If you search ‘samachar’, you get another tab to read latest news in Hindi.
This works for any results such as movie searches, health related queries and even questions about birth date of a celebrity.
The new flip feature is available on Google Search app and Google Search on mobile browsers (except UCBrowser and Opera Mini) on Android or iOS devices.
It is currently rolling out in significant Hindi-speaking regions such as Bihar, Chattisgarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Delhi and West Bengal.
Google says the it will improve over time. Hope we can expect this feature in other Indian languages as well.
Google Search now lets you switch between English and Hindi easily
