What about Nexus 6p users ? They got it or not.

According to a considerable amount of Pixel and Pixel XL users, their phones suffer from a static distortion when the volume is at the three highest levels. Read on to find out how to tell if your Pixel phone is affected and what might be causing it.

An internet user by the name of “badmark” took to Reddit to show that there may be a wide-spread audio issue with Google’s Pixel phones. According to the user, his phone would produce a distorted static noise when it’s at the highest three levels of volume. He says he has had to replace his Pixel XL three times, but his forth unit as well as his wife’s regular Pixel phone all suffer from the problem. You can check out the video above which demonstrates the said audio problem.

He has included a link to a trailer for Pixel users to play, and if your device is affected, you should hear that the audio distorts at full volume. You can click here for the video, but just FYI, the video’s audio is extremely loud at maximum volume. Along with that, there is a poll to see how many people are affected, and unfortunately, it seems he’s not the only one suffering from the issue.

So far 305 votes have been counted, and 66 percent of them – both Pixel XL and Pixel users – are affected by the audio issue. Of course, this means there are people with Pixel devices who are perfectly unaffected by the problem, but given the fact that Google wanted to enter the premium smartphone arena with these devices, users shouldn’t have to experience such problems in the first place.

Before you contact Google, however, be sure to remove any skins, screen protectors, cases, stickers, etc., and try again. Also, it helps to boot your device in safe mode (accessed by pressing the power button and selecting “Reboot to safe mode”) in order to make sure third party apps are not causing it. My guess is that Google will introduce a software update to address the issue sooner than later. However, it is not impossible that it may be a hardware issue: my brand new laptop suffers from a similar audio problem, and it’s diagnosed as a hardware-related problem.

Google says its affordable Nexus days are over, but with premium price tags must come premium devices. With more than half of the poll participants saying their Pixel devices have an audio problem, Google’s very first smartphone pair certainly isn’t heading in the right direction.

Google Pixel Now Available With Rs. 10,000 Discount on Flipkart...

Google Pixel, the first self-branded smartphone by the company, is available with a limited-period flat discount of Rs. 10,000 on Flipkart. This brings down the Google Pixel price down to Rs. 47,000, and buyers can get an additional discount by opting for the Flipkart exchange offer on the smartphone.

Under the Flipkart offer, interested Google Pixel buyers will get a flat discount of Rs. 10,000 when purchasing the smartphone using a credit or debit card. The e-commerce marketplace clearly notes that the Google Pixel offer will end on January 31. Apart from flat Rs. 10,000 off, Google Pixel buyers can also take advantage of other Flipkart offers while purchasing the smartphone, including additional 5 percent off on using Axis Bank Buzz Credit card. Unfortunately, the Rs. 10,000 discount isn't available on the purchase of the Google Pixel XL.

Flipkart customers can also opt for the Google Pixel exchange offer to further bring down the price of the smartphone. With exchange applied, Flipkart is offering up to Rs. 23,000 (with additional Rs. 3,000 discount) off on the purchase of the Google Pixel. We tested Flipkart's exchange programme and found that iPhone 6s Plus was the only smartphone that was eligible to avail the full discount of Rs. 23,000 as most other smartphones seem to fetch a much smaller value compared to the Apple smartphone.
Currently, the Google Pixel 32GB model is available on Flipkart at Rs. 57,000 while the 128GB model is available at Rs. 66,000.

Notably, this is not the first time that Google's first Pixel smartphone has received such a massive discount. Earlier, there have been several offers available to consumers with options to buy Google Pixel smartphone with up to Rs. 26,000 discount in Flipkart Exchange offer. Recently, the Pixel and Pixel XL went on sale via Snapdeal with cashback as well as various launch offers.

To refresh on the Google Pixel, it sports an aluminium unibody and also features polished glass combination at the back. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and sport Pixel Imprint fingerprint sensor. It sports a 12.3-megapixel rear camera and also sports an 8-megapixel front camera. The Google Pixel sports a 5-inch full-HD Amoled display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The Android 7.1 Nougat-based Pixel smartphone comes with a USB Type-C port and includes the 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphones are also IP53 rated for dust and water resistance.

Still looks costly. One can get better device from Samsung at same cost with edge display. By now you could have understood which device i am talking about!

They should give the same discount for xl too.

Anyone bought in this discount price from our forum?

Google Pixel smartphone, just like Nexus devices, come with an end-of-life date. In other words, after a particular date, Google won’t provide Android updates and security updates for these devices. ‘Made by Google’, the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones run on stock Android and are treated with timely and regular updates. However, that doesn’t last forever and Pixel users will not always be able to continue with the privilege of getting updates from the search giant.

Android Police spotted new changes made to the Google Pixel support page. The page has been updated with an expiration date for the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones.

Google Pixel, Pixel XL won’t get Android updates beyond October 2018
