RE: Google’s Pixel phone is finally official: Release date, specs and pricing

Google’s Pixel Smartphone would cost Rs 57000 onwards, Pre-orders from Oct 13 in India

India would be receiving the new Pixel phones in the country in November, while they would be able to preorder the phones from October 13. The pricing starts at Rs 57,000 for the Pixel 32GB model, while the Pixel XL pricing isn’t out yet. Do make a note that Google has announced at stage that they are partnering up with Flipkart, Reliance Digital and Croma stores for making their handsets available for purchase.

Google is all set to unveil the latest handset today at an event in the United States. The new Pixel devices have been leaked in full glory before it’s actual launch by various retailers. Now one more news related to the new Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones are coming in. Interestingly India would be among the first one to see the availability of the device. As the Pre-order is expected to start from October 13 that would be exclusive for Flipkart.

Reportedly, Indian consumers won’t have to wait until October 13 for the pricing as it is expected to be listed on the online retailer from tomorrow with price and availability. So, if you’re a Google-branded smartphone fanboy, then you don’t have to wait much longer to purchase the device in the country after the United States release.

Going back to 2010 when Google announced their first Nexus device, their own branded smartphone. Since then the Mountain View giant has partnered up with a multiple OEMs for manufacturing the Nexus devices over the years. Last year Huawei made the Nexus 6P while LG was asked to remade Nexus 5 into Nexus 5X to inline with new Nexus phone.

This year HTC bagged the rights to make new Google branded phones. Moving forward, Google decided to rename the line up as Pixel. Earlier the handsets were used to be Co-branded with the branding of manufacturer appearing, but with Pixel phones, you won’t see the manufacturer’s branding on the devices.

While Google is yet to make the official announcement, the leaks suggest that the only difference between the Pixel & Pixel XL would be about the size, while all specifications might be similar. Coming to the specifications talk, the Pixel phones would be powered by a Snapdragon Qualcomm 821 processor. The camera department would sport 12-megapixel sensor on the rear and an 8-megapixel sensor on the front. A standard internal storage option of 32GB would be provided. And of course, battery size would different.

Its has best ever camera available on smartphones till now :sp

I think at this price point, i won't attract much people. Config is in no such huge, it would be better if they would have kept it in 30k to 50k bracket. But, that's just my view. Google also must have thought before deciding the price.
