Finnish telecom gear maker Nokia has won a new deal from Vodafone Idea (Vi) to upgrade the telecom operator’s optical transport network for supporting fifth-generation (5G)-led services and 4G data growth.

In addition, Nokia on Monday said its equipment will modernise Vi’s network, providing flexibility and efficiency, and boost the telco’s 5G rollout.

Vi B1+3 CA ! It's tempting to port in but routing and peering needs improvement. Also not sure whether other places would have good coverage. But still browsing is snappy enough even telegram app loads instantly in Vi while it often lags in Jio and airtel

Band 1 will be disabled at night, so you will be left with band 3 only. Port after you have band 78 at your place if you want to. Band 1/41 gone in night to avoid exploitation of late.

Looks like backhaul bottleneck. I think they downgraded backhaul capacity last year in Chennai. Not getting 200Mbps on every mw site

What's the ambr now ? B3 is 10Mhz but due to 2G running on DSS it's acting like 5 or 8Mhz giving ~40-45Mbps only and B1 alone maxes for me at ~90Mbps. Total CA speed throttled at ~120Mbps.
Also due to less number of sites in Vi signal is cleaner than airtel. Vi has one site for every 500mts in my location while airtel & Jio has one for every 250-300mts.
