In longer run they won't. Indians are cost conscious people. They will chose cheap over quality anyway. Compared to Airtel's 10. Jio's is 8 when it comes to quality not 4 like Vi.
Telecom networks require continuous investment and the network quality depends on burden on the network

The problem with jio is they have huge subscriber base and low arpu subs
Presently they are spending because they have reliance in back at sometime this spending slows down because they need profit at sometime
So at that time investment on network will slowdown with huge low arpu subs which eventually reduce the network quality

Look at VI it is not the problem subscriber base they have enough but problem is paying subscriber base which is less that’s why they are losing the game

If jio stops incoming service even without recharges like airtel and other networks at some time they need to do they will loose more subs
Jio has huge sub base but they are low paying and irregular paying subs
Same case with postpaid they are not prioritising postpaid subs they are treating them normally which makes no interest for high paying subs

Jio has only one option either ask people more money
Or became ad company like sell data and play more ads wherever possible

The second option eventually create bad brand name like people use instagram and google but most of them hate those companies because they sell data and ads

Now Jio have 5% RMS more than Airtel, so Airtel needs another 5 years to reach Jio’s RMS. In the meantime Jio can gain some more RMS with tariff hikes.

Bro, you have forgot one thing. Airtel always cries for tariff Hikes, saying "ARPU is too Low. Industry is unsustainable, etc..". If Jio wants to Hike tariff by 5%, Airtel will happily follow lead with 10% Tariff Hike.

So Option One of asking More money to people will never be an issue, as Airtel will never keep the tariff same, if Jio wants to hike the tariff. Heck, even without Jio increasing the tariff, they will Hike tariffs just for the sake of it like the removal of Rs99 plan and Rs155 minimum Recharge plan.
