No it will not work only SMS service will work. Recharge with 98 will work.
If you want for a day you can Recharge with 19 for 24hrs.

Internet will be down anyway. I will have my Jio Phone when I visit then.
If you have JioPhone then just ho for 49 plan. Otherwise just recharge with 19 per day for smartphone if you are for couple of days.

No, the offer is discontinued on April 1st 2017.
Tip is if you won't use JioFi to make calls. Buy ₹251 plan as it's an Internet only plan that comes with more validity.

Just a query, which recharge have you done for adding main balance, and what do you use it for? Is it for 1860 numbers and International calls?Latest Update

I usually recharge with 100(or 150/200/300) having good offers
When reached 399 I deduct for pack recharge
1860 number doesn't require main balance
Thats a very smart idea. Could you give examples of offers with these 100, 150, 200, 300 recharges?
