The simplest rule change is - "If the non-striker is out of his crease before the ball has left the bowler's hand, the player is run-out automatically".

Since they are checking for front-foot no-balls by the 3rd umpire now, in the same frame then can check for the non-striker as well.

500 wickets in Test Matches is an unbelievable achievement in the current times. And that too by a fast bowler. The next fast bowler who is currently active is Ishant Sharma with 297 wickets. (Dale Steyn is there but not sure if hes ever playing Test Matches again)
