Brother few years back TRAI had created a rule that channels from different broadcasters cannot be clubbed in one bouquet or something like that , after this Star Zee, Discovery Sony , Zee Turner all alliances broke. Since then though distribution companies like Indicast or others though continue to offer channels from different broadcasters but they r offered in separate bouquet. This has nothing to do with TRAI Tariff Order. Guess u saw ads by Turner and unknowingly linked it to this order

Until first half of last year Turner channels were distributed by Zeel later Indiacast took over.

Broadcasters are infact Turner but distributors were first Zeel & later Indiacast and now since after the recent TRAI Tarrif order Broadcater Boquet is advertised seperately but Distribution within India still might continue with Indiacast and never heard anything like you say until recently till this Trai order started circulating.

PS : Understood that seperate boquets were offered for few years now but when distribution to DPO's were concerned CN HD+ & Colors Tamil HD added almost at the same time by Tata Sky first DTH operator to add both indicating some kind of clubbing of channels still exists.

You r confusing between not allowing clubbing of channels from different broadcasters and a distribution company free to host various broadcasters. Former thing is not permitted since last 4 or 5 years, latter is still allowed.

Right now each broadcaster is advertising its bouquet information but when it comes to distribution, company responsible for them will handle all the things. Tata Sky entered into negotiations with Indiacast, being the agent they offered various options available with them and ultimately operator agreed to what suited them the best and channels were added.

It's basically like i am shopkeeper having dealership of LG and Sony, u being a customer will see ads of both brands on any medium but when u come to my shop i will provide details of both and ultimately u will be free to buy as per ur choice.

There r operators like Tata Sky who go for bigger options while ones like airtel prefer budget option as until now they do not have wide HD base like their rival.

I think you aren't getting me properly Indiacast & Tata sky still doing business in olden ways.

But if Airtel add these 4 Sun HD channels this is only as a direct result of Trai Tarrif order implementation that brought transperency in package & pricing.

What kind of impact I foresee this will create with Tuner-Indiacast distrubution pattern moving ahead is instead of doing like Tata Sky adding both CN HD+ & Colors Tamil HD together now Airtel might overlook an Indiacast HD Channel & Buy a Turner HD Channel seperately like an end Consumer would like to do without any confrontation with Distrubution agents like Indiacast.
