Sorry. My phrasing was wrong.
What I meant is that these new emojis were introduced along with Android 11 Developer Preview. You don't have to be on Android 11 to use these.
Google has been working on a Gboard redesign for more than two months now, and it looks like the company is finally starting to roll it out to the first few beta testers currently using version 9.8.07 of the app. The new look trades the Roboto font for Product Sans and fits the latest revisions to Google's Material Theme much better.
Gboard doesn't provide sync across all devices now?
All of my learned words and predictions are now gone. Why did they remove it? Even SwiftKey has sync through Google Account.
They also removed the quick Google Search button from the Keyboard. It exists on SwiftKey.
I moved from SwiftKey to Gboard for these subtle but useful features. But they are gone now.
Another reason was the size of the app. It was heavy & used to eat up around 500MB in the memory. Now SwiftKey App is just 10MB & consumes just 50MB space after installing.
I am moving to SwiftKey. The only thing I'll miss is the "Text Editing" option.
