1. Poles don't carry electricity. Beautiful engineering is at play to insulate high voltage lines from these poles.
2. Poles are further made of concrete which is a bad conductor.
3. Poles are grounded to push any possible leakage down.

Your anecdotes are just blank observations with utterly bad inferences.
