Prospective QPR owner Tony Fernandes has pledged to support manager Neil Warnock.

The Malaysian businessman, who owns Air Asia and Formula One's Team Lotus, is expected to complete his takeover of the recently-promoted Barclays Premier League club this week.

Warnock's future has regularly been the subject debate since taking the helm at Loftus Road, but Fernandes insists his position will be safe should he take over.

"I think Neil is a super guy and he's done extremely well to have got QPR to where they are," he told the London Evening Standard.

"He'd have my full support. I think the manager should get what the manager wants."
