MUMBAI: Social media giant has signed its first major broadcast deal with Premier League for four South East Asian markets. The deal valuedat £200 million will run through till 2022.According to a report by The Times, Facebook is believed to have beaten BeIn Sports and Fox Sports Asia to gain live broadcast rights in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.The deal marks a tectonicshift with streaming players emerging as a strong competitor to traditional media companies for sports media rights.
