152-run stand between Rahul and Parthiv Patel is the third-highest first-wicket stand for India against England after the 213 between Gavaskar and Chetan Chauhan at the Oval in 1979, and the 203 between Vijay Merchant and Syed Mushtaq Ali at the Old Trafford in 1936.
