Doubt on UHD video

Dear All,
There is a doubt which suddenly comes in my mind if an android mobile is capable to play the UHD videos then why the FULLHD Smart tv's are not able to play the UHD?? They are supposed to play the videos in atleast HD mode...

Yes they can and they are playing it as the set top box is downscaling it to full HD video.

Who said, full HD TV cannot play UHD content bro! It can play it in Full HD resolution.

Your source device should have an option to set the output video resolution to HD (1080p). If there is no option, it will be set default to 4K or 8K and it will not be supported by your TV. TV cannot down-scale the input automatically.

Check the below post where the 4K set top box of D2H is having an option to select the resolution as 1080p. This option should be available in the source device to get the output in TV.
