999 p/m seriously...even Netflix doesn't dare to price that much mostly the tariff of hotstar will remain between 1k-1.5k for a year
Older generation doesn't pay for their nostalgia. New gen does. You and me are more willing to pay for any streaming service than our parents.

Yes but they cannot hike the prices until they have a handful of consumers and they can't stay in the competition

They will most likely merge both. Every streaming service wants one thing that is more and more content.
Disney clearly stated that they will have 3 ott services
Espn plus for sports
Disney plus for family
Hulu (60%) for mature audiences.

Let's see we can only estimate, the service will launch in late 2019 or 2020.
So, still lot of time remaining.

Will they launch Disney+ as a separate app in India and pull fox content off Hotstar, or will they provide all their content through Hotstar in India?

If so then how it will be a competer to Netflix? Because Netflix has lots of mature contents. But IMO the name 'Disney +' doesn't suits for providing adult contents.
Is there any chance Disney to sell out its stake in Hulu, shift all its contents and invest the money to Disney plus?
