Since this morning, several windows users started facing a BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) errors on their machines. The issue seems to be due to the latest update pushed by Crowdstrike. The error looks as below.

Crowdstrike is actively working on a fix and advised the users to wait patiently and not to attempt any fix themselves.

It's not only desktop, anything which is running on windows family is impacted. Airlines, banks and many other systems are down.
I was watching AajTak news channel and they weren't able to figure out what's going on. They initially said due to server error on Airport, then said technical fault affecting banks as well. Still they aren't fully aware about this error.

Workaround

  1. Boot Windows into Safe Mode or the Windows Recovery Environment.
  2. Navigate to the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike directory.
  3. Locate the file matching C-00000291*.sys and delete it.

Has any member encountered BSOD error?
Not on personal PC but encountered BSOD twice today on my office laptop. So this issue is to only enterprise machine using crowd strike falcon software for security purposes.
