yes.i was about to say this but stopped because any sachin tendulkar fan will be here as moderator of this forum and he might ban me from posting comments for next one week. if any of indian cricketer caught means india will try to escape them.this is what happened with ipl.Cricket Australia have gut to ban two of their best batsmen. If it would have happened with Indian team, I seriously dobut they would have banned for at least one match. I still remember sachin Tendulkar ball tampering case and India's blackmailing to boycott that series. Take s bow CA!
Definitely 1year is too much considering it have happened before without much punishment but it's the time to set example to keep intact the integrity and sprit of cricket.
Its shree disgrace. He is not a criminal.
But It'll be a lesson for all. No one will dare to do that again.
Your comment on this doesnt sound good to me.
No action for sledging
No action for Dressing room review system
I still doubt if the two main players are being victimised. Not that they didnt do ball tampering, but may be there is more to it. Probably even at the management level.
1yr is not harsh by any means. Its quite less.
They should be better a life ban.
If the spiri is lost in the gentleman's game, we ain't here to support it. Let it be smith or warner or even any Indian team member.
ICC code of conduct ruled Smith out for a mere single match. According to ICC that was the maximum punishment.
But on the contrary, CA took the responsibly and did the unthinkable at least on BCCI's part banning their two best batsmen across all platform that too world cup in horizon.
Don't tell me that ball tampering is not happened before. Pretty harsh on Smith and Warner. Got to feel for this guys!
Du Plessis twice, Atherton, Tendulkar, Afridi, Dravid all been caught ball tampering- what about Deflate gate ??? Not condoning but an over reaction- a fine & match ban would have been enough.
Senior guys!!!
Du Plessis, Atherton, Tendulkar, Afridi, Dravid all were senior and leaders of respective teams during their indulgement in controversy.
OH ya, Smith accepted the wrong doing and other declined the involvement. It might be karma of accepting the truth, the bitter truth
