Because they were stuck at home for so long. There is also the mindset that if people can go for pilgrimage and attend political rallies. What's wrong with vacationing? We are in this situation because of finger pointing and whataboutries. All states needs to immediately issue Section 144. This is India. More people would eat paracetamol and stay at home. Than come out and get tested. Based on how contagious Omicron is. We can assume us having over a lakh cases per day. We already have entered third wave. Peak is about to come. We need to take concrete steps.I don't know why people are so excited to go for trips after knowing that third wave has begun . Now what If the cases cross 1 Lakh + and death rate also increases, Who will Be responsible for that ?

Covid Cases Increase 6 Times In Last 8 Days: 10 Latest Covid Points
India reported 58,097 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, 55 per cent higher than yesterday's 37,379 cases. This is twice the number seen only four days ago.

Update:We have 6 new cases in our apartment in 3 days. All are vaccinated. 3 of them this morning are of same family who went for the new year party. The other 3 are different individuals who arrived from US. None of them have omicron.... Hopefully.
We got more cases in our society...Total now 12 cases. A air hostess lady just above my house got covid. And 5 more cases in other building. All have be quarantined in there respective houses... Except one individual who got admitted himself in hospital. We might get quarantined by chennai corporation if any omicron case appears or tally reaches above 15.
