Discussion Computer Problem, Virus and Upgrade

@Rajat Basak if you are using an old HDD then I highly recommend you upgrade to a basic SSD your PC will FLY ! :D

Yes. I thought about it. I had a 512 GB HDD (10 years old) and a 1TB HDD. But i needed another HDD only for movies. So I purchased a new 2TB (E Drive).
But don't want to invest on SSD now because in future I want to buy a 1TB SSD for new computer. Which is very expensive now. So I am using my old 512 GB for C Drive which I use only for Windows, Software and Games. And D Drive 1TB for other files, video, photos etc.
I play only GTA IV, it's running smoothly, and booting time about 1 minute 15 second.

1TB SSD makes sense if you're building a new computer, otherwise as @vishalrao suggested, get a 250gb SSD, since you're using a Socket 775 board/system, you're probably only limited to SATA2 ports, not even SATA3 or M.2 slots.

Since you'll probably max out at 270MB Read/Writes on SATA2 anyway, doesn't make sense to invest heavily in a 1TB SSD unless you're planning a computer upgrade in the near future.

Also 1TB in my opinion is overkill anyway unless you're going for an all SSD system or something. Win10 + Apps can live happily on 500gigs.

Yes you are right. But I don't want to invest more on this computer (I just installed a 2GB Ram). My future computer will have 3 Hard Drive.
C: 1 TB SSD (programs, games)
D: 2 TB HDD (already purchased)
E: 4 TB HDD (only for movie)

And my PC is not slow at all. It's butter smooth because I removed all partition. So I won't notice any significant difference on SSD except boot time..

Oh, a switch from a Mechanical Hard Disk to an SSD doesnt just affect boot time, trust me. Everything will be much, much snappier.

I saved that experience for future upgrade. If I do now I won't have any reason to buy a new computer..;)
