I think people will realise that they should look at the last name (I know it is not always same) of the caller to determine if it is the call they were expecting.

id*ots will still get scammed by people claiming to be entirely different than the name shown in the caller ID though, that one I am sure about.

and why should people use that? Long long time back my first order of business when I turned 18 was to transfer ownership to my name. It is specifically very important considering the amount of stuff linked to your phone number.

If i lose my phone number, i don't want to go chasing my family member to get me a replacement sim card considering Aadhar, UPI, Bank and everything that gets impacted.

I didn't too. But i did my due diligence to get the number converted to my name.

I don't know why getting a sim card is even limited to adults. Government should allow and reduce the limit to 16
