Alternatively, (if budget permits):
I'm also planning to install CCTV cameras in my house (outdoor)
I was wondering what's your total expected budget for the same? I can't see the prices of the products via the links you've shared

Actually, pricing varies from dealer to dealer and area to area. For example, a tier-1 city will have lower pricing for these products compared to a tier-2 city.

I have a budget of around 35k for NVR, PoE switch, 6 cameras (4 bullet, 2 dome) for the given HikVision models.

The budget can go up for a fresh setup because more materials like Cat6 Ethernet cable, RJ-45 connectors, etc. are also needed for that.

@Bapun bro, If u have wifi coverage means go for ip camera, I had using 2 MI/xiaomi ip camera in native & 1 ezviz outdoor camera in garden/backside house
I have mesh wifi setup covering the whole house, but I am against wireless/wifi setup for cameras and won't go for wireless cameras, bro.

The reasons are simple. First thing is that wireless cameras can not work as reliably as wired cameras. Please refer to @mmadhankumar bro's post for more insights.

And, since I have Cat6 Ethernet cabling already done, I don't need to invest in wiring again. I simply need to install/setup the new NVR, cameras and PoE to power the devices. Hence, I will be sticking to a wired backhaul setup only. :)

By the way, I went through your provided Amazon links, and neither of the cameras is available. Looks like they are discontinued now.

Hi friends,
Iam looking for upgrade of DVR in my flat since the technician informed current setup supports only till 2.5MP Camera ? Whether is this right?

He gave quote for
CP PLUS 5MP 16CHANNEL DVR
CP-UVR-1601F1-IC Rs.10,679 along with installation.

Is this the advanced one with reasonable price or any available which supports more pixel camera ?

Suggestions are welcome.Thanks

DVR is outdated technology these days bro. I wouldn't recommend going for it in today's time.

You should opt for NVR instead for the upgrade. It will require change of the wires also from coaxial to Cat 6 but still worth the efforts. A 2.4 MP NVR camera can produce better PQ compared to 4 MP DVR camera.

I recently installed the following camera in addition to existing camera.
Connected through wifi and linked with DVR as an ip camera.
My DVR supports 4 wired camera and 2 IP camera
Picture clarity is looks better.
Though I have attached a memory card to this new camera, but the recordings stored on the harddisk
