For us it is not even made available.
Have registered last week so far no update.
Customer care peoples are not aware of this service itself.
Useless company making public ****

Will they change the service or update WeConnect in Tamil Nadu? It's completely scrapped—it's the worst IFTV service by BSNL. Almost 3 months have passed.

For my registration, I got a call back from our local office, they said there is issue and they cannot provide the service now. I told them to consider me for trial at least. Seems we connect collaboration is a total mess.

You can't avoid local operators. Just compare the services of BSNL before and after the entry of local operators. Earlier when it was fully government employees operators it was quite tough to get remedy incase of any down. After augmenting with local operators now the faults are being attended very fast.
However local operators are hesitant to implement IPTV since they are already tied with cable tv networks. They can't loose their margin just because of IPTV.
Cable is outdated now. Most houses have a smart TV. Even then, they have internet connection and triple play will take off very well. Local Cable operators cant survive with just cable operating anymore because DTH is always an option for everyone. Now that 5G fixed wireless access is available, cable operators who did not allow fiber internet previously are now eager to tie up with ISPs. That is the truth. And if IPTV over airfiber takes off, there is no incentive to have a separate cable connection when you can get all in one

You are also outdated I guess, local cable operators are already giving cable tv and internet with OTT. We cant completely eliminate the cable tv for the sake of IPTV. Elderly peoples still prefers cable tv as the channel switching with dedicated and simplified remote is wise choice than OTT or app based switching. When Cable TV and internet is taken from different lines either of the one will work during the outage of other. If 5G is down you can't use both internet and TV.
I have TCCL cable tv and BSNL and the outage from both players are very very rare and occasional. HD channel clarity from cable tv is constant and better than the OTT apps.

I know that, thats why I told cable operators are not just 'cable operators' anymore, they are becoming ISPs. Most if not ALL the cable tv operators are giving connection thru FTTH only. In that same cable they are able to pass internet signal also, based on the customer's preference.

HD channel clarity from cable tv is constant
It is because of OFC backend infra. TCCL is an ISP cum cable MSO. They also provide internet, and based on the LCO tie up it's availability varies.

Whatever it maybe, IPTV is the future. Triple play will expand in a big way soon enough. Already in the Northern states, many ISPs are in triple play format and provide IPTV along with internet packages. pure cable TV will cease to exist.
If 5G is down you can't use both internet and TV
there are more chances of your cable tv going down, than the 5G tower going down.
IPTV over 5G wont depend on your plan speed or bandwidth because of the slicing ability of the technology
