I successfully configured IPTV and Internet to work over the same LAN/Ethernet cable using VLAN binding.

Tested Devices:
  • SyroTech ONU: Working. ( Has issue with restart issue)
  • DBC ONU: Internet and FM channels work, but live TV channels show the 503 error.
  • I believe this configuration should also work on Netgear ONU.

Please follow the settings carefully. Let me know if you need further details or troubleshooting for the live channel issue.

Has anyone with figured out a way to do this with a TP-Link router running in bridge mode with the netlink ont

I hope there are options directly to assign the VLAN for INTERNET, IPTV.
Could you share the screenshot of interface pages

Also I would assume most people using the bridge mode would be using lan port 2 since it’s the gigabit port

Could you log in in Web Interface (not in Tp link App)and share all the interface pages related VLAN ID and Port assignment.
Also share your TP Link Model.

I’m using a deco xe75 so the web interface is pretty limited and has no real use or details.Anyone else who can share the interface front their archer systems?

If I may ask what are the values you are assigning in the vlan binding page before the vlan ids of the wan profiles? Also have a a syrotech ont lying around if that’s easier to help with since you have one
There’s no control or details apart from a basic topology overview and assigned ips and dns information on the web interface for the deco
