State-run telco BSNL is set to receive 4G spectrum next month which will enable it to commercially roll out services from March, a senior official said Tuesday.

Getting the fourth generartion (4G) spectrum will help the telco offer faster data services to its over 100 million customers and also compete better with private sector rivals which are already offering the latest service.

"The ministry has already announced that BSNL will be given the 4G spectrum and we will be getting it by October- end," DK Agrawal, general manager for value-added services, said at a company event here.

My BSNL no automatically renewed with old plan at 49 but I was supposed to activate 153 plan. Will BSNL refund 49 and activate 153 plan, I have sent a mail.

Bsnl is providing 4g Sims in the city, and Ironically out of all the towers in the city only the tower which is in exchange itself is providing 3g network rest all are providing only 2g from past few days. Can't even provide 3g and asking people to swap to 4g sims:wall:

Update regarding this, turns out BSNL 4g is available in the city. 3g isn't vailable. people need to get bsnl 4g sim which they are providing for free.

No Bsnl 3G available in the city after launch of Bsnl 4G here, this will impact those who don't have 4g phones. They won't be able to enjoy 3g services.
