Bangladesh A to tour India for five matches
Soon after the Indian senior team toured Bangladesh for a series of one Test and three One-Day Internationals, the Bangladesh A team has received an invite to tour India later this month.
The tour, a first by the country’s A side, was finalised on Saturday (September 5).
A Board of Control for Cricket in India statement confirmed that the action would include three 50-over games against an India A team, and two three-day contests, the first against Karnataka, the defending Ranji Trophy champions, and the second against India A.
All the matches against India A would be played in Bangalore, while the fixture against Karnataka would be held in Mysore.
Interestingly, the Bangladesh senior team has never toured India for a bilateral series despite being granted Test status in 2000.
Itinerary
September 16: Bangladesh A v India A – first 0ne-day match, Bangalore
September 18: Bangladesh A v India A – second one-day match, Bangalore
September 20: Bangladesh A v India A – third one-day match, Bangalore
September 22-24: Bangladesh A v Karnataka – three-day match, Mysore
