The beauty of test cricket lies in how batsmen adapting to different conditions and how they are countering the unfamiliar territories. There is an unwritten law in test cricket If the pitch is favouring swing and bounce noone will say anything if it's spinning everyone becomes critical. What a hypocrisy 😑

what is the definition of fair??I am tired of this "fair".
Fair means the match having a chance of draw for some reason tests in India havent ended in draws in recent past you guys can figure out the reason

Even in swinging and bouncy pitches in England, Australia, NZ and SA there have been drawn tests for some reason only 2 tests in India have gone to 5th day from 2019 one was a loss to England another was a draw against NZ. Pakistan, SL and Bangladesh also produce turning wickets and we see games there going till the last day thats my point

I dont mind having spinning tracks in fact I love spinning tracks what I hate is when you create pitches so that there will be no draws

The match India lost at Chennai to England that was a turning wicket after 2.5 days it started to turn and the only reason England won that match was because the pitch was beautiful to bat on for first 1.5-2 days and they piled on the runs and then both teams couldnt play spin once the track started turning and India lost in the last day because India couldnt play spin bowling if India had batted well on a turning track we would have had a chance to draw or even win the match

The match that was a draw NZ held on for dear life on a turning track on the last day in Vizag that when it was stumps on Day 5 they were 9 wickets down that is test cricket

Not creating tracks where you dismiss opponents in 2.5 days even the BGT in Aus 2 of the 4 tests went to Day 5 and many will say that the Gabba victory was the most memorable but the way Ashwin and Vihari batted in Sydney to save a test that is Test Cricket sometimes it is all about playing time play to save a match but nowadays I dont know whether it is because of T20 or the sort of pitches prepared I havent seen that occur regularly in India where a team just wants to just hold on for a draw. Its all either a win or loss in 3 or max 4 days

Another thing that has badly affected Test cricket is Test Championship in my opinion previously curators dont mind a draw for eg now India leads 2-0 previously curators would prepare 2 dull pitches good to bat on for 2 days and starts taking turn from day 3 so even if it is 2 draws India win series 2-0 but now since India has to win series 3-0 or 4-0 again they will prepare turners and match will end in 3 max 4 days.

Agree with ur opinion, draws being a rarity in India nowadays . But for that to happen both teams have to show up.Unfortunately most teams are equipped to handle pace and even swing and nobody cares that playing against spin is also an art. It seems like India learned to play pace and swing whereas the other teams are not willing to learn the art of playing against spin and they put all the blame on the pitch instead of their incompetence against spin bowling. As long as teams not willing to learn spin ,there is no point in expecting visiting teams to compete for even 4 days in spinning conditions in India
