It has also been learnt that Kohli has sought a break for the T20Is. Rest or break, that could make the selectors' job easy as they want to try out new players for the T20Is.

It is likely that the selectors will stick with the experimental squad for the three-match series with Hardik Pandya assigned the leadership role which he was entrusted with in New Zealand immediately after the World Cup in Australia. Ravindra Jadeja may return with a player to watch out for will be Yash Dhull. Both Rohit and Kohli, however, are expected to be back for the ODI series, an important one considering that the World Cup in India later in the year.
