The latter, he would be considered a left handed batsmen. Same case for wide as well!Tha.RP8 said:A quick question, if anyone knows it please help me :
*Say a left arm spinner is bowling over the wicket to a right hander. But the batsman attemps a switch hit. But he misses it and it strikes his pads in line. But the ball pitched outside the line.
So will it be considered 'pitching outside leg stump' because he is a right hander, or will it be given out because at that moment he has switched to a left hander and the leg stump is now his off stump??
Really confused about this, please help me.
Edit: Looks like the rule is different for lbw and wide. Lbw can't be given if it's pitched outside leg though he switches the stance. Also, whether or not he switched will be based on his grip and not on the legs.
