When did India last play a overseas test??

Sometimes it feels BCCI are scared of loosing the #1 spot if they go on a tour.

Lanat hai aishi #1 ranking ki..

When it comes to test cricket, West Indies are on the same level as Bangladesh.

It's been a long time that India toured South Africa or NZ.

From 18th Dec 2013 till 22nd Aug 2016, India played 25 Test Matches.

21 Away Matches - 2 vs SA | 2 vs NZ | 5 vs Eng | 4 vs Aus | 1 vs Ban | 3 vs SL | 4 vs WI
Only 4 Home Matches - All against SA

Should India just keep touring, never play home matches ? :huh

Australia need to be methodical on India tour: Lehmann

Darren Lehmann, the Australian coach, believes his team has to play flawlessly to defeat India in the upcoming four-Test series starting on February 23 in Pune.

Australia has a nightmarish record in the subcontinent having not won a Test in India since famously winning 2-1 in 2004, a series Lehmann was part of. Compounding the difficulty, India has only lost one Test series since then, a 2-1 defeat to England in 2012.

Lehmann said Australia would have to play near perfect cricket to achieve a major upset. "Everything's going to have to go right, that's a simple fact of life," he said on Tuesday (February 7). "You've got to be really methodical, well prepared. Which they will be. We have to hold every catch, we fielded unbelievably (in 2004).

"And we batted big, that's the key ... you got to put pressure on them," he added.

We are going to adapt to whatever conditions are thrown our way: Lyon

Nathan Lyon, the Australia offspinner, conceded that the tour to India isn't going to be a walk in the park, but sounded sanguine about the prospect of competing with India in the upcoming four-match Test series.

"It's going to be hot over in India and we are just going to adapt to whatever conditions [are] thrown our way and really compete hard with India," said Lyon on Tuesday (February 7).

Members of the Australian Test squad are currently sweating it out in Dubai in a bid to get used to spin-friendly surfaces. "It's been going really well. Been here for a week and it's been really, really beneficial. Lot of communication between each other. The boys are training hard," said Lyon, who seemed glad about the new methods of preparation ahead of the challenging tour. "First ever time training in Dubai leading into a series, that's little bit different I guess, but we are working as a group really well together. There's been a lot of communication between batters and bowlers, and I think that's really crucial," said Lyon.
